Pink Dot Utah

Thank you to the nearly 3,000 people who attended the inaugural pinkdot Utah event today! Thank you for showing the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in your lives that you have the COURAGE to show them such an overwhelming gesture of LOVE and SUPPORT!

Special thanks to our emcees and Celebrity Ambassadors, Hope Woodside and Kurt Bestor, as well as Ambassadors, Eric Alva, Holly Mullen, Ted Wilson and Archie Archuletta for participating in our program. We also thank The Anser, DJ Jesse Walker, the Righteously Outrageous Twirling Corps of Salt Lake City, Shameless, Lady Murasaki, Mona Stevens and Cheer Salt Lake for entertaining all of us and keeping the energy high the entire pinkdot celebration.

We appreciate all of the efforts of volunteers who planned and set-up for today, and thank them for making pinkdot a success! Thanks also to the Larry H. Miller Group and Spring Mobile Ballpark for their generous support for this event.

This pinkdot milestone campaign is being organized by a group of committed volunteers working on behalf of the Support Love Courage Council. pinkdot Utahaims to launch the movement's credo—Support. Love. Courage.—by encouraging Utahns to speak up for their lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) family members, co-workers, neighbors and friends. The Council held its inaugural pinkdot event on National Coming Out Day – October 11, 2011 – where an estimated 3,000 people helped for Utah's first giant human pinkdot. The campaign and event are targeted to attract both straight and gay Utahns and visitors, many who may come to support their family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors.

Looking for your very own pinkdot shirt? How about a window cling for your car? Or, a lawn sign for your front yard? These items are now available for purchase in our "Get Your Pink" area. 

There is a $5 Flat Rate shipping on all orders! Orders will be sent in 2-3 business days. Or you can choose to pick up your order at the Utah Pride Center from 11A-5P, Monday through Friday (but please gives us at least 24 hours to process

pinkdot stands for a movement in which all Utahns, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression benefit from the support, love and courage of their families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and communities.
